Heirloom Portraits have been one of the most popular offerings in my studio located in Raleigh, NC. I absolutely love how these beautiful, yet simple images can perfectly capture a child’s personality! Today I’m going to be answering some of the most frequently asked questions about my heirloom studio portraits.
When and where are your heirloom portraits offered?
I offer heirloom portraits year-round at my studio in Raleigh, NC. Appointments are available on weekday mornings (generally Mondays and Fridays). These sessions are generally fairly quick and so much fun!
What age do you recommend for heirloom portraits?
This is such a tough question! I think that heirloom portraits are so adorable at any age, but the most popular ages are 1-5 years old. I have done babies as young as 5/6 months and children as old as 8 years. If you are interested in having me photograph your child who is less than a year old, please make sure that they are able to sit unassisted before scheduling their appointment.
What should my child wear to your Raleigh NC studio?
Most parents will choose to dress their children in traditional clothing with a collar. However, I encourage you to dress your child in a way that suits your family’s style! A simple white collared shirt is always a great option.
If you are worried about your child wrinkling or staining their clothing on the way to the studio you are welcome to dress them here once you arrive. There is a bathroom connected to the studio for easy changing.
What is included in your heirloom portrait packages?
All of my packages include digital image files as well as a print credit towards purchasing high quality printed products. You can choose prints, framed images, etc. from your gallery store, or I can create a custom order for you.
How should we display our child’s portraits?
My absolute favorite way to display an heirloom portrait is with a framed deckled print. These are incredibly high quality and unique prints that will look stunning hanging in your home. Deckled prints can also be purchased as loose prints if you already have a frame that you’d like to use.
Do you offer composites of heirloom portraits?
Absolutely! I offer both 3 and 5 image composites. These are such a cute way to display some or all of your child’s images in one print. I custom design each composite using your favorite images from your gallery.
How do we book our child’s portrait session in Raleigh NC?
In order to schedule your session, please reach out to me via my contact page. I will then send you a proposal with detailed pricing information and instructions to book right away! You will receive a scheduler with my availability so that you can select a time and date that works well for you. I like to make it as easy as possible for my clients to book!
