The first few weeks are a blur. A newborn session gives you something to hold onto when the details start to fade. Calm, unhurried, and led entirely by me. You just show up.

the experience
01
You'll receive a detailed prep guide covering feeding, outfit ideas, and how to keep baby sleepy and content. I'll also send a questionnaire so I know exactly what matters most to your family.
02
I lead everything. Babies set the pace, so we follow their cues for feeding, soothing, and sleeping. There's no rushing. Parents and siblings are woven in naturally throughout the session.

Your curated gallery is ready within 2-3 weeks. From there, you'll purchase your collection and have access to an online store to order artwork. Every image is edited with a timeless, natural finish.

Maybe you're already thinking about a maternity session before baby arrives. Or maybe you're imagining milestone portraits down the road, a sitter session, a first birthday celebration. The Baby's First Year package lets you bundle sessions together at a discounted session fee, so you never have to choose which moments are worth keeping.

The best time to reach out is during your second trimester. I only take a limited number of newborn sessions each month to keep things calm and unhurried, and spots fill quickly.
Once you book, I'll pencil in your due date and we can tentatively schedule or wait until after baby arrives. I generally photograph most newborns between 2-4 weeks old.
Already past that window? Don't worry! I've photographed babies at every age and would love to capture yours. Reach out and we'll find the perfect time.
Common questions
always ask
Newborn sessions typically run 1.5 to 2 hours. This gives us plenty of time for photos as well as feeding and settling, snuggles and diaper changes.
Absolutely. I bring siblings in at the beginning of the session while their patience is fresh. Sessions with young siblings are very playful and family-centered, so we'll get lots of photos of you all together.
Totally normal, and nothing I haven't seen before. I follow baby's lead and never force a pose or a moment. We pause, we soothe, we try again or something new. Some of my most beautiful images have come from sessions where baby needed a little extra time to settle in.
I'll send a session prep guide after you book. In general, neutrals and soft pastels or jewel tones photograph beautifully. Avoid bold patterns and loud colors so the focus is always on baby and connection, not outfits.
Absolutely, and it's one of my favorite things to photograph. Pets are part of your family, and in-home sessions are designed to include all of it. Your dog doesn't need to be perfectly trained. As long as they can settle for a few minutes, we can usually get something really special.
