Fall is a very popular time of year for family photos, and for good reason. The beautiful foliage in North Carolina this time of year can make for stunning backdrops, and the weather is usually beautiful! The NC Museum of Art Park has particularly gorgeous landscaping which is why it’s one my most requested Raleigh family photo locations.

This location was perfect for this beautiful family because they also had maternity photos done here the year before as a part of their Baby’s First Year Package. It was such a joy to come back, now with precious baby boy in tow!

Baby Graham was a little unsure at the beginning of our session, but once he got to stand up and play he brought all the smiles and was SO adorable! I think he loved his solo shots – what a sweet little guy.

Their gorgeous golden retriever has done so great with all of their photos, and loves to have his time to shine! He cracked me up trying to come over for pets and kisses while I was taking photos which turned into the most adorable photobomb.

As you can see, I aim to provide a lot of variety with Fall family photos so we’ll generally do a variety of playful poses. I love to include a few traditional smile at the camera shots, as well as lots of snuggles, kisses, dancing – whatever gets baby smiling!

I was completely in love with baby boy’s outfit – the overalls and sweater combo was just perfect for this setting!
